Rory Mcilroy moved into the joint lead in the wake of shooting a third-cycle 67 in the Tour Championship. 

Overnight pioneer Billy Horschel of the United States checked a 69 to keep a healthy grip on an offer of the focal point.

"I felt somewhat fatigued coming into this week and in no way, shape or form have I played my best golf, however I'm tied for the lead and I couldn't request any more," Mcilroy said.
