Joe Root: Alastair Cook 'right man' to lead England into World Cup

England batsman Joe Root accepts commander Alastair Cook is the right man to lead them into one year from now's World Cup in Australia and New Zealand. 

The 23-year-old has reacted to previous England spinner Graeme Swann's claim that they require another chief to have a possibility of winning the competition. 

Talking about the commander, Root said: "He's an incredible player and has got the greater part of our backing." 

England face India in the second one-day meeting in Cardiff on Wednesday. 

The primary ODI of the five-match arrangement, in Bristol on Monday, was relinquished due to rain without a ball being played.
