Thomas Vermaelen: Barcelona to sign Arsenal shield on Sunday
Barcelona say they will finish the £15m marking of Arsenal's Belgium worldwide shield Thomas Vermaelen on a five-year contract on Sunday.
The La Liga club discharged an announcement on Saturday saying they had arrived at a consent to sign Vermaelen, and the 28-year-old had passed a restorative.
Vermaelen joined Arsenal from Ajax for £10m in 2009 and showed up.
"Thomas Vermaelen is a characteristic pioneer who has captained both Ajax and Arsenal," said Barcelona's announcement.
"He plays at focus back, and having a great body he is amazing with the ball at his feet and peruses the diversion well."

Vermaelen will sign his agreement on Sunday before being formally exhibited as the Catalan club's player at a news meeting.
He was a focus for Manchester United yet they finished their enthusiasm in the wake of declining Arsenal's interest to get a player as a feature of the arrangement.
Vermaelen was disturbed by an arrangement of wounds and lost his spot at focus back last season as Arsenal administrator Arsene Wenger favored Per Mertesacker and Laurent Koscielny.
