Miroslav Klose: Germany striker resigns from worldwide football
Germany's record-breaking heading goalscorer Miroslav Klose has reported his retirement from global football.
The 36-year-old Lazio striker helped his nation win the World Cup in the late spring, turning into the record scorer in the competition's history.
Klose, who totalled 71 objectives in 137 internationals, turned into the third player to score at four World Cup finals.

He is the second part of the German group to stop after the competition after chief Philipp Lahm a month ago.
"Winning the title in Brazil was a youth dream work out as expected," included Klose in an announcement discharged by the German Football Association.

Miroslav Klose key to Germany World Cup chance - Joachim Low
Germany chief Joachim Low said he was pleased to have worked with previous Bayern Munich forward Klose.
"When I got together with Miro a week ago he told he me he had pondered it and conversed with his family," said Low.
"I instantly sensed that his choice was irreversible and that I can't persuade him generally.
"You can just depend on Miro to keep his word of honor and that was the situation in Brazil too.
"I have a ton of appreciation for Miro's choice and also for his unimaginable national group profession that is everything except difficult to trump."
